How Do You Read a DO Probe?
A DO reading is trustworthy only when the probe, required checks, stable indication, and record stay connected.
Meter And Probe
A DO measurement system includes the display, cable, and sensing probe. The probe contacts the sample or process water; the meter converts the sensor response into the displayed result. A meter photo alone does not show the complete measurement relationship.
Check Before Reading
Complete the calibration or verification required by the instrument instructions and laboratory procedure. Follow those instructions for the exact sequence, acceptance limits, and response when a check is not acceptable.
Wait And Record
Follow the procedure for probe placement and movement, then observe the required stable indication. Record the value, units, sample or process location, time, and required check information. Do not select the most convenient changing number.
